Ivanka Trump becomes White House Employee

Responding to criticism from ethics groups, Ivanka Trump will officially become an unpaid government employee, after initially saying that she would remain an informal adviser to her father with an office in the West Wing.

The White House said, "Ivanka's service as an unpaid employee furthers our commitment to ethics, transparency, and compliance and affords her increased opportunities to lead initiatives driving real policy benefits for the American public that would not have been available to her previously."

Ivanka Trump will serve as an assistant to the president and adviser. She joins her husband, Jared Kushner, in taking an official role in the Trump administration.

Borussia Dortmund Win the Race for Liverpool-linked Dahoud

Mahmoud Dahoud has agreed a deal to join Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season for an undisclosed fee, Borussia Monchengladbach have announced.

“A decision has been made,” he said. “Mahmoud Dahoud will be leaving us. He has chosen to join Borussia Dortmund."

Michael Zorc, Dortmund’s sporting director, added: “Mo Dahoud is a highly talented and exciting player in central midfield. We have been watching him extensively for several years." 

Liverpool had long been linked with a move for Dahoud, with Jurgen Klopp a known fan of the German.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes signing Barcelona star Neymar is "impossible".

The Brazil international has regularly been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with reports the Premier League giants were planning a huge bid in the off-season.

"I always try to be objective and pragmatic with the clubs and ask the clubs what can be given to me," he told ESPN Brasil. "Neymar is absurd. A club like Barcelona cannot and will not lose Neymar."

Neymar, 25, has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Barca this season, his lowest tally since his first campaign at the club in 2013-14.
