'He Is A Top Player!' - Swansea Will Move for Chelsea Captain John Terry

Swansea City will make an attempt to sign Chelsea captain John Terry, manager Paul Clement has confirmed.

Clement revealed last month he would explore the possibility of signing the 36-year-old if his side secured Premier League safety, which they have now done after Hull City's relegation.

Terry, who is leaving Chelsea after 22 years when his contract expires, insisted no decision had been made and stated that retirement could even be an option in the aftermath of the dramatic 4-3 win over Watford - a match in which he scored the opening goal.

"The fact is I know John, he is a top player and a free agent," Clement, who has previously worked with Terry while at Chelsea in numerous coaching roles, told reporters.

"So it would only be sensible to have a discussion with him to see if he would be interested.

Extremely Rare ‘T. Rex’ Ant Found Alive for First Time

For the first time, an extremely rare ant has been seen alive. Tyrannomyrmex rex (T. rex for short) had eluded scientists since 2003, when entomologist Fernando Fernández revealed that a single dead ant from Malaysia represented a never-before-seen ant genus. The ant’s tiny mandibles reminded Fernández of the stubby arms of Tyrannosaurus rex and other carnivorous dinosaurs.

In the years since, only a handful of Tyrannomyrmex ants have been found in India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and probably the Philippines, all of them deceased and incidentally collected from leaf litter.

But after digging in the dirt in a Singapore forest, National Geographic Young Explorer and entomologist Mark Wong has found the first recorded live colony of T. rex ants—revealing crucial details about the species, as well as additional mysteries.

The result puts Madrid back to the top of the table, three points above champions Barcelona ahead of their derby match with Espanyol later on Saturday.

Turkish Authorities Block Wikipedia Without Giving Reason

Turkey has blocked all access inside the country to the online encyclopaedia Wikipedia. Officials said "an administrative measure" had been taken, but gave no reason why.

Turkish media said authorities had asked Wikipedia to remove content by writers "supporting terror". Turkey has temporarily blocked social media sites including Facebook and Twitter in the past, usually following protests or terror attacks.

The Turkey Blocks monitoring group said Wikipedia was unreachable from 08:00 (05:00 GMT). People in Istanbul were unable to access any pages without using a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Google and Facebook Scammed Out Of $100M

Google and Facebook Scammed Out Of $100M but say that money was recovered:

Google and Facebook were scammed out of a total of $100M by a crook sending fake invoices purporting to be from Taiwanese server supplier Quanta Computer, reports Fortune. The scam was allegedly carried out by a Lithuanian man, Evaldas Rimasauskas.

Google said that all of its money has been recovered, while Facebook said this was true of ‘the bulk’ of its funds, but questions are still being asked of both organisations …

While $100M is not a large sum in the context of the balance sheets of either company, and the bulk of the money was in any case recovered, former Securities & Exchange Commission head Mary Jo White says that this doesn't necessarily eliminate the need to report the incident.

"This new funding will support the UN World Food Programme in Nigeria, which is providing critical food assistance, nutrition support, and vouchers that can be used to buy food where local markets are functional," the statement read in part.

'I have no crystal ball' - Conte Can't Guarantee Hazard Stay

Antonio Conte insists Eden Hazard is not looking to leave Chelsea, but admits he cannot make any guarantee with Real Madrid interested in a big money move for him.

Chelsea prepare for a difficult test away to Everton this weekend with Tottenham only four points behind in second. Conte says Hazard is likely to stay but couldn't officially rule out a summer departure from Stamford Bridge.

“I think that it's impossible for me to take this responsibility, but not only for Eden but for every single player," Conte told reporters at a news conference. "In this situation, it's the club who have the final decision.

"I can say my opinion about this situation, but I repeat: the club has the final word about this situation. I think that everything is possible, everything is possible in football. But not only for Eden, but for every single player."
